অভাগীর স্বর্গ গল্পে মানবিক সমাজ গঠনে প্রতিবন্ধকতাসমূহ
মানবিকতা বলতে বোঝায় মানুষের মূল্যবোধ। মানুষের বিচার বুদ্ধি- যে বুদ্ধি আমরা অর্জন করি বিভিন্ন ধরনের জ্ঞানের মাধ্যমে। যেমন- ধর্মীয়, সামাজিক, রাজনৈতিক ও সাংস্কৃতিক ইত্যাদি। মানবিকতার মূলমন্ত্র হলো মানুষের কল্যাণ, জাতির কল্যাণ, সমাজের কল্যাণ। মোটকথা মানুষের ভালো, মানুষের জন্য ভালো কিছু করা , মানুষের উন্নতি সাধন করাই মানবিকতা। কিন্তু শরৎচন্দ্র চট্টোপাধ্যায় রচিত “অভাগীর স্বর্গ” গল্পে মানবিকতা বলতে আমরা যা বুঝি তার বিন্দুমাত্র মিল খুঁজে পাই নি।

- শ্রেণি বৈষম্য: “অভাগীর স্বর্গ” গল্পে আমরা দেখতে পাই যে, তখনকার সমাজ ব্যবস্থার মাঝে শ্রেণি বৈষম্য ছিল প্রকট। এই শ্রেণি বৈষম্য এর মাঝে ছিল ধনী-গরীব ভেদাভেদ , উঁচু জাত-নিচু জাতের ভেদাভেদ। এই গল্পে আমরা দেখতে পেরেছি সমাজের উচু জাতের লোকদের দ্বারা নিচু জাতের অর্থাৎ গরীব অসহায়দের প্রতি বৈষম্য।
- শাসকেকের শোষণ: “অভাগীর স্বর্গ” গল্পের জমিদার এর চরিত্র থেকে একথা স্পষ্টতই প্রতীয়মান হয় যে শাসক শ্রেণির লোকদের শোষণ একটি মানবিক সমাজ গঠনের প্রধান অন্তরায় বলে আমি মনে করি।
- ন্যায়বিচারের অভাব: অভাগীর বেল গাছ লাগানোর ঘটনা থেকে আমরা দেখতে পাই যে, তখনকার সমাজ ব্যবস্থায় কতটা ন্যায়বিচারের অভাব ছিল।
- সামাজিক মর্যাদা: একটা মানুষ যখন সমাজে তার নিজ পরিচয়ে মাথা উঁচু করে বাঁচতে না পারে অর্থাৎ সামাজিক মর্যাদা নিয়ে দাঁড়াতে না পারে, তখনই সমাজের মাঝে অমানবিক আচার-আচরণ প্রকট হয়ে দেখা দেয়, যা মানবিক সমাজ গঠনের অন্তরায় হয়ে দাঁড়ায়।
- বিবিধ: সমাজে ধনী-দরিদ্রের মধ্যে যেমন পার্থক্য রয়েছে , তেমনি রয়েছে ধর্মে-ধর্মে , সম্প্রদায়ে-সম্প্রদায়ে এবং জাত-পাতের প্রকট পার্থক্য। বেশিরভাগ ক্ষেত্রেই এসব পার্থক্য অশিক্ষা, অজ্ঞতা, কুসংস্কার ও হীন স্বার্থবুদ্ধিপ্রসূত। এতে করে সমাজে প্রগতি বাধাগ্রস্ত হয়। সমাজজীবনে সৃষ্টি হয় নানা দুঃখজনক ঘটনার। এমনকি এতে মানবতার বিপর্যয়ও ঘটে থাকে।
